The European Stonechat is a small passerine bird found in open rough grassland, heathland, and coastal areas across Europe and western Asia. It is characterized by its distinctive black head, white neck patches, and rusty orange breast. This species is known for its habit of perching on top of bushes and fences, where it can be seen flicking its wings and making sharp, chattering calls. European Stonechats are insectivorous and can often be seen foraging for insects on the ground. They are known for their resilience and adaptability to a variety of habitats.
