Eversmann's Pigeon

Eversmann's Pigeon (Columba eversmanni) is a medium-sized pigeon species found in Central Asia. It is named after the German naturalist Eduard Friedrich Eversmann. This pigeon has a distinctive grayish plumage with a pinkish hue on the breast and a white patch on the neck. The species is known for its gentle cooing calls and is often found in open woodlands, river valleys, and mountainous regions. Eversmann's Pigeon primarily feeds on seeds, grains, and small fruits. Although not currently classified under a specific conservation status, the species may face threats from habitat loss and hunting in some regions.
