Eyebrowed Thrush

Turdus obscurus

The Eyebrowed Thrush is a medium-sized thrush with a distinctive eyebrow stripe and a mottled brown plumage. This migratory bird breeds in the taiga and forested areas of northeastern Asia and winters in Southeast Asia. It forages on the ground for insects, berries, and small invertebrates. The Eyebrowed Thrush is known for its melodious and flute-like song during the breeding season. Due to habitat loss and trapping for the cage bird trade, the conservation status of this species is Vulnerable according to the IUCN Red List.
