Eyrean Grasswren Amytornis goyderi is a passerine of the Maluridae family that lives in the Simpson and Strzelecki Deserts of central Australia, with its breeding range in south-east Northern Territory, south-west Queensland and north-central South Australia. It is a bird of arid country and is confined to dune fields in those deserts. Its plumage is cryptic and it is uncommon. It was first described by Gould in 1875. The species is the smallest grasswren, and it has a deep, finch-like bill. There are slight differences between males and females, and also between populations across its range.
