Fairy Pitta, Pitta nympha, is a passerine in the Pittidae family that breeds in Honshu, Shikoku and Kyushu in southern and central Japan, on Jeju, in southern and eastern China, and in Taiwan. It also occurs outside the breeding season as far as central Borneo. A distinctive feature of this bird is its bright plumage. It was described by Temminck and Schlegel in 1847.
