Fawn-breasted Bowerbird

Chlamydera cerviniventris

The Fawn-breasted Bowerbird is a medium-sized bird found in the rainforests and woodlands of northern Australia. It is known for its elaborate courtship behavior, where the male builds and decorates a bower to attract females. The plumage of the male is striking, with a fawn-colored breast, black head, and vibrant yellow and green markings on the wings and tail. The female is more subtly colored, with a mottled brown and cream plumage. These birds are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits and insects. The Fawn-breasted Bowerbird plays an important role in seed dispersal within its habitat.
