Fawn-breasted Waxbill, Estrilda paludicola, is a passerine in the family Estrildidae, the waxbills, munias and allies. It occurs in Africa, where its breeding range is in central and east-central parts of the continent. It belongs to the order Passeriformes and was described by Heuglin in 1863.
