Ferruginous-backed Antbird, Myrmoderus ferrugineus, is a passerine of the antbird family in ne Amazonia, where it occurs in Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. It lives mainly in terra firme evergreen forest and nearby mature secondary forest, and also uses savanna woodland on sandy ground. The species was once placed in Myrmeciza before being moved to Myrmoderus. It has two subspecies, and the nominate form ranges from far eastern Venezuela through the Guianas into north-eastern Amazonian Brazil.
