Fiery-throated Fruiteater, Pipreola chlorolepidota, is a passerine of the Cotingidae family that breeds in South America from southern Colombia to Peru. It lives in humid Andean forest on the eastern slopes, including lowland and montane rainforest. The adult male is marked by a bright green head and upper body, white tips to the tertial feathers, and a vivid orangish-red throat and chest. The female is similar above, with a green breast and a belly barred in green and yellow. Both sexes have a pale grey iris, a pinkish-orange bill with a dark tip, and orange legs.
