Finsch's Euphonia, Euphonia finschi, is a passerine of the finch family that breeds in Venezuela and the Guianas. It was first described in 1877. The species is found in open country with sandy ground, including gallery forest, savanna with scattered trees and brush, and the margins of humid forest. It is mainly resident, though it probably makes short movements. It occurs from lowland areas up to 1,200 m, and in Suriname and French Guiana only to 400 m. Its breeding season includes April, but little else is known about its breeding biology.
