Fire-tailed Myzornis, Myzornis pyrrhoura, is a passerine of the Himalayas to north-eastern Myanmar in the Oriental Region, placed in the family Paradoxornithidae. It was described by Blyth in 1843. The bird is the only member of its genus. It inhabits temperate to alpine moist montane forests, including bamboo thickets, rhododendrons, birches and junipers. In the Sikkim and Arunachal Himalayas it is common on upper ridges, with seasonal shifts in altitude. Its breeding period is mainly from April to June, though young have been noted in mid-September in Bhutan.
