Fire-tufted Barbet, Psilopogon pyrolophus, is a bird of the montane Malay Peninsula and Sumatra in the Asian barbet family Megalaimidae. It lives in broad-leaved evergreen mountain forest, with its breeding range in the Oriental Region. The bird has green plumage, a brownish-maroon nape, grey lores and a white forehead band. Its throat is green, then comes a bright yellow band and a black one that gives a necklace-like look. The bill is fawn with a black vertical stripe, and it has feather tufts at the base of the beak, with fiery orange upper tufts in males.
