Fischer's Greenbul

Phyllastrephus fischeri

Fischer's Greenbul (Phyllastrephus fischeri) is a medium-sized songbird found in the coastal forests of East Africa. It has a distinctive olive-green plumage with a yellowish underbelly and a slightly curved bill. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard echoing through the dense undergrowth. Fischer's Greenbul is primarily insectivorous, foraging for insects and small invertebrates in the dense foliage. It is a secretive bird, often remaining hidden within the thick vegetation. Despite its relatively wide distribution, habitat loss and degradation pose significant threats to its populations.
