Five-colored Barbet, Capito quinticolor, is a bird of the New World barbets that breeds in western Colombia and north-west Ecuador. It occurs from central Chocó in Colombia south to Esmeraldas in Ecuador, in wet primary forest, mature secondary forest, forest edges and disturbed areas. It usually lives from near sea level to 350 m, though it can reach about 600 m locally. The species is monotypic and was once treated as the same bird as the white-mantled barbet.
