Flame-templed Babbler, Dasycrotapha speciosa, is a bird of the white-eyes family found in the western Philippines on Panay and Negros. It lives in lowland forest, forest edges and secondary growth, and is especially associated with thick undergrowth. Its most striking feature is the head pattern, with orange crown tufts, black ear patches and a yellow bill and face. It occurs in the understory, often in deep cover, and is recorded in mixed flocks with other small birds. It breeds for much of the year, with territorial activity most evident from March to April.
