Flame-throated bulbul

Rubigula gularis

The Flame-throated bulbul is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of the Indian subcontinent. It is known for its striking appearance, with a vibrant orange-red throat and a contrasting black and white body. This species is known for its melodious and varied songs, often heard during the breeding season. Flame-throated bulbuls are primarily insectivorous, foraging in the forest canopy for insects and small fruits. They are often seen in small groups or pairs, and are known for their acrobatic flight patterns. Despite being relatively common in its range, habitat loss and fragmentation pose threats to its populations.
