Foothill Stipplethroat, Epinecrophylla spodionota, is a passerine antbird of the Andean foothills in South America, breeding from southern Colombia through Ecuador to central Peru. It was first described by Sclater and Salvin in 1880. The species belongs to the Thamnophilidae and is one of the birds now grouped as stipplethroats rather than antwrens. It occupies the understorey of evergreen forest on foothills and lower mountain slopes, and is recorded in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Two subspecies are recognised, with one north of the Marañón and the other extending south of it in Peru.
