Forbes's Blackbird

Anumara forbesi (Sclater, PL, 1886)

Forbes's Blackbird, Anumara forbesi, is a passerine of eastern Brazil, where it is confined to the Atlantic forest and nearby fragmented habitats. It is a member of the Icteridae and is found in small numbers in forest edges, plantations, moist lowland forest, seasonally wet grassland, and areas beside sugar cane fields and marshes. It is an all-black bird with a slender, straight-billed profile and a long tail. It is often confused with the chopi blackbird, but differs in its non-glossy plumage and bill shape.
