Forest Raven Corvus tasmanicus is a passerine in the Corvidae family that breeds in south-east Australia and Tasmania. It is found in Tasmania and in parts of southern Victoria, with further records in New South Wales. In mainland Australia it is tied to more closed forest, while in Tasmania it uses a broader range of habitats. Breeding happens in spring and summer, later in Tasmania than in New South Wales. Pairs usually stay together for life and hold fixed territories. The species was described by Mathews in 1912.
