Stizorhina fraseri
Fraser's Eagle-Owl (Stizorhina fraseri) is a large owl species found in the forests and woodlands of West Africa. It is characterized by its large size, prominent ear tufts, and striking orange eyes. The plumage is predominantly mottled brown and grey, providing excellent camouflage in its forest habitat. These owls are nocturnal hunters, preying on small mammals, birds, and insects. They are known for their deep, resonant hoots that echo through the forest at night.
