Fraser's Hill Partridge

Fraseria caerulescens

Fraser's Hill Partridge, also known as Fraseria caerulescens, is a medium-sized bird species found in the mountain forests of the Malay Peninsula. It is characterized by its striking blue and black plumage, with a distinctive red bill and legs. These partridges are primarily ground-dwelling birds, foraging for seeds, fruits, and insects in the dense undergrowth of their forest habitat. They are known for their shy and elusive nature, often remaining hidden among the thick vegetation. Due to habitat loss and hunting pressure, the Fraser's Hill Partridge faces conservation challenges and is considered vulnerable to extinction.
