Fuertes's Parrot, Hapalopsittaca fuertesi, is a bird of the west slope of Colombia’s Central Andes, where it breeds in Quindío and Risaralda. It lives in wet temperate cloudforest with many epiphytes and oaks, mostly at 2,900 to 3,150 m, though it has been recorded from 2,160 m to 3,500 m. It is known for its red band above the bill, blue crown and green hindneck, with green upperparts and blue and red in the wings and tail.
