Sylvia galinieri
Galinier's warbler (Sylvia galinieri) is a small passerine bird found in the Mediterranean region. It is known for its distinctive song and secretive nature, often staying hidden in dense shrubbery. This warbler has a brownish-gray upper body and a pale underbelly, with a subtle yellowish hue on the throat and breast. Its slender bill is adapted for catching insects, which form the bulk of its diet. Galinier's warbler is typically found in dense scrubland and maquis habitats, where it forages for insects and builds its cup-shaped nest. Although not much is known about its population trends, it is considered to be of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
