Phylloscopus kansuensis
The Gansu Leaf Warbler (Phylloscopus kansuensis) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the mountainous regions of central China. It is characterized by its olive-green plumage, a distinct white supercilium, and a pale yellowish underside. This species is known for its distinctive song, a high-pitched and rapid trill. Gansu Leaf Warblers are typically found in dense coniferous and mixed forests, often foraging in the canopy for insects and larvae. They are known to undertake long migrations, wintering in southern China and Southeast Asia. The conservation status of the Gansu Leaf Warbler is currently labeled as Least Concern by the IUCN.
