The Gentoo Penguin (Pygoscelis papua) is a species of penguin known for its distinctive orange-red bill and white patch around the eye. They are the third largest penguin species and are known for their speed and agility in water. Gentoo penguins primarily feed on krill and fish, and they breed in large colonies on sub-Antarctic islands. They build nests out of stones and lay two eggs, with both parents taking turns to incubate them. Gentoo penguins are highly social birds and communicate through a variety of vocalizations and body movements.
