Pachycephala inornata
The Gilbert's Whistler is a small to medium-sized bird found in the forests and woodlands of Australia. It is known for its melodious whistling calls and distinctive black and white plumage. The male has a striking black head and throat, while the female has a more subdued coloration with a greyish head and olive-green upperparts. This species is known for its agile foraging behavior, often darting through the foliage in search of insects and small fruits. Gilbert's Whistlers are known to be monogamous and build cup-shaped nests in the dense vegetation. While they are not currently considered to be at risk, their habitat is threatened by deforestation and habitat loss.
