Trachylaemus goffinii

Goffin's Cockatoo, scientifically known as Trachylaemus goffinii, is a small parrot species native to the Tanimbar Islands in Indonesia. These intelligent and social birds are known for their playful and curious nature. They have a predominantly white plumage with pinkish tones on the underside of their wings and tail. Goffin's Cockatoos are highly vocal and have a wide range of calls, including loud screeches and softer whistles. They inhabit tropical forests and wooded areas, feeding on seeds, fruits, and insects. Due to habitat loss and capture for the pet trade, Goffin's Cockatoo populations are declining, leading to their classification as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List.
