Euplectes psammacromius

The Golden-backed weaver (Euplectes psammacromius) is a small, strikingly colored bird found in eastern Africa. Males have bright golden-yellow plumage on the back and wings, with a contrasting black face and throat. Females are more subtly colored with streaked brown and buff plumage.
