Golden Bowerbird, Prionodura newtoniana, is a bowerbird of montane north-eastern Queensland in Australia, with its breeding range in se Cape York Peninsula and the north-east of the state. It was first described by De Vis in 1883. The species is confined to rainforest above 350 metres and is patchily distributed in the Atherton region. It is the smallest bowerbird. Males build and tend a bower over several years, and the species is monotypic, with no recognised subspecies.
