Golden-breasted Fruiteater, Pipreola aureopectus, is a bird of the Cotingidae family found in Colombia and Venezuela. It lives in humid forest in pre-montane and montane zones, with separate populations across the west slope of the Colombian Andes, the Venezuelan Andes, the Serranía del Perijá, the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Venezuelan Coastal Range. The species is a year-round resident. It is notable for strong differences between the sexes, and the male has bright yellow on the throat and breast.
