Golden-breasted Fulvetta

Oreornis chrysogenys

The Golden-breasted Fulvetta is a small, colorful bird found in the mountainous regions of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its striking golden-yellow breast and distinctive black and white facial markings. These social birds are often found in mixed-species flocks, foraging for insects and small fruits in the dense undergrowth of montane forests. Their melodious calls and active nature make them a delight to observe in their natural habitat. The Golden-breasted Fulvetta is not currently considered to be at risk, but its forest habitat is increasingly threatened by deforestation and habitat degradation.
