Golden Bush Robin, Tarsiger chrysaeus, breeds across the Himalayas and into central China, and belongs to the Muscicapidae family of chats and Old World flycatchers. Hodgson described it in 1845. It is a songbird of the Oriental Region, with two recognised forms: Tarsiger chrysaeus whistleri in northern Pakistan and the north-western Himalayas, and Tarsiger chrysaeus chrysaeus from the central Himalayas to north-west Thailand. It is known for its golden plumage. Its range also includes Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet and Thailand.
