Aratinga auricapillus
The Golden-capped Parakeet, also known as the Golden-crowned Conure, is a vibrant and social parrot species native to the Atlantic Forest in Brazil. These medium-sized parakeets are recognized by their striking golden-yellow crown, green body, and red patches on the wings. They are highly social birds, often seen in flocks, and are known for their playful and energetic nature. Their diet primarily consists of fruits, seeds, and nuts. Unfortunately, habitat loss and illegal trapping for the pet trade have led to a decline in their population, making them vulnerable to extinction.
