Golden Pipit, Tmetothylacus tenellus, is a bird of dry grassland, savanna and shrubland in eastern Africa, breeding from Somalia through south-eastern South Sudan to central Tanzania. It is a distinctive pipit, and the adult male is especially easy to pick out. Its golden appearance sets it apart, with yellow underparts and yellow in the wings. The female is more like a typical brown pipit, but still shows yellow on the underside of the wing.
