Golden-winged Parakeet, Brotogeris chrysoptera, is a parakeet of northern and central Amazonia in South America, with its breeding range in Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela. It belongs to the Psittacidae family and was described by Linnaeus in 1766. The species is almost entirely green, and adults of the nominate form show a brownish band on the forehead, an orange-brown mark on the chin, and bright orange primary coverts. Other subspecies differ in the forehead, chin and tail feather edges.
