Goliath Imperial Pigeon, Ducula goliath, is a pigeon of New Caledonia, breeding on Grande Terre and Ile des Pins in Australasia. It belongs to the family Columbidae and was first described by Gray in 1859. It is tied to humid forest, especially primary forest, and occurs up to 1,500 m in elevation. This is a large arboreal pigeon with a long tail, and the neck and upper breast have feathering that gives a shaggy, furrowed look. It is found alone or in pairs.
