Gorgeous Bushshrike, Telophorus viridis, is a bird of wooded country across western Africa to south-eastern Kenya and Tanzania, then south to South Africa and Swaziland. It belongs to the Malaconotidae family and is placed in the order Passeriformes. Some authorities divide it into four subspecies. It is also called the four-coloured bushshrike, though that name is sometimes used only for Telophorus viridis viridis. Its range includes Angola, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
