Gould's Euphonia

Euphonia gouldi

Gould's Euphonia (Euphonia gouldi) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of Central and South America. This species is known for its striking plumage, with males displaying vibrant blue and yellow colors, while females have more subdued green and yellow tones. Gould's Euphonia feeds on a variety of fruits, seeds, and insects, foraging in the canopy and mid-levels of the forest. It is often observed in small flocks or pairs, emitting high-pitched calls as it moves through the foliage. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to the long-term survival of this species.
