Gould's Frogmouth, Batrachostomus stellatus, is a frogmouth of the Podargidae family found in the Oriental Region, including the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, the Riau and Lingga Islands east of central Sumatra, Bangka east of southern Sumatra, the northern Natuna Islands north-west of Borneo, and Borneo. It was described by Gould in 1837. It is a nocturnal bird associated with tropical rainforest, especially undisturbed lowland forest. The species has two morphs, one pale and one dark, and both share a brown pattern with a white collar and white spotting on the wing coverts and underparts.
