Selenidera gouldii
Gould's Toucanet (Selenidera gouldii) is a small to medium-sized toucan species found in the tropical forests of South America. It is characterized by its vibrant green plumage, a distinctive yellow throat, and a red patch on the sides of its head. These toucanets are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits, but they may also consume insects and small vertebrates. They are known for their acrobatic flight and their distinctive calls, which are often heard in the dense forest canopy. Gould's Toucanets are generally found in humid lowland forests and foothills, but they may also occur in montane forests up to 1,500 meters above sea level.
