Gould's Toucanet, Selenidera gouldii, breeds in South America’s southern Amazonia, where it occurs in tropical forest across central and eastern Brazil and into eastern Bolivia. It is a toucan in the family Ramphastidae. The species is recognised by its distinctive bill pattern, with a pale base, dark middle, orange-yellow outer section and ivory tooth-like marks along the edge. Males and females differ in plumage, and the female has a shorter bill. It is a year-round resident and uses forest from the understorey to the canopy.
