Gray-chinned Minivet

Timeliopsis griseigula

The Gray-chinned Minivet is a small passerine bird found in the eastern Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its striking plumage, with the male sporting a combination of black, gray, and yellow, while the female has a more subdued olive and yellow coloration. These birds are often found in broadleaf evergreen forests and adjacent secondary growth, where they forage for insects and small fruits. Their melodious calls and active foraging behavior make them a delight to observe in their natural habitat. The Gray-chinned Minivet is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is believed to be stable.
