Gray's Lark, Ammomanopsis grayi, is a lark of south-western Africa, where it breeds in hot deserts. It belongs to the family Alaudidae and is placed in the monotypic genus Ammomanopsis. The species was first described by Wahlberg in 1855, and it was formerly treated in Alauda and later in Ammomanes. Two subspecies are recognised: A. g. hoeschi in north-western Namibia and south-western Angola, and A. g. grayi in west-central and south-western Namibia.
