Great Elaenia, Elaenia dayi, is a passerine of the tepui region in South America, recorded from southeastern Venezuela and extreme northwestern Brazil. It is a bird of the mountains and plateaus of the Gran Sabana, several tepuis, and both sides of Mount Roraima, with one subspecies confined to Auyán-tepui and another found on a series of named Venezuelan summits. It is the largest elaenia, with a long tail and little or no crest. The sexes look alike, and the species is resident throughout its range.
