Great Parrotbill, Paradoxornis aemodius, is a passerine in the Paradoxornithidae family and breeds across the Himalayas, from Nepal and India through Bhutan to Myanmar and central China. It was once treated as the only species in the genus Conostoma. This bird is part of the parrotbill group and is recorded from the Oriental Region. Its scientific name was given by Hodgson in 1841.
