Greater Ground Robin, Amalocichla sclateriana, is a bird of the Australasian robins in the family Petroicidae, living in montane central and south-east New Guinea. It was described by De Vis in 1892. It is endemic to New Guinea and occurs at elevations of 2,500–3,900 m. Two subspecies are recognised: the nominate form in the mountains of the Huon Peninsula, and occidentalis in the Oranje Mountains of central New Guinea. The latter has browner, more mottled underparts than the nominate bird. It is the largest robin in New Guinea, reaching 20 cm in length.
