Greater Wagtail-Tyrant, Stigmatura budytoides, is a passerine of the Tyrannidae family found in South America, with a breeding range in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil and Paraguay. It lives in a scattered pattern across these countries, with different subspecies occupying separate parts of the range. The first three forms use the Gran Chaco, while S. b. gracilis occurs in more humid but similar country. The species was first described in 1837, and some authors treat gracilis as distinct because it differs from the other forms and has its own range.
