Green-and-gold Tanager, Tangara schrankii, is a bird of western Amazonia in South America, where it occurs across the western and central Amazon Basin and into the foothills of the eastern Andes. It is part of the tanager family, Thraupidae. Its range also reaches eastern Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, central Bolivia and north-western Brazil. It is associated with subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical swamps.
