Pachyramphus viridis

The Green-backed Becard is a small, insectivorous bird found in the tropical forests of Central and South America. It is known for its distinctive green back and gray head, with a black mask across its eyes. This species is often found in the mid to upper levels of the forest canopy, where it forages for insects and small fruits. The Green-backed Becard is known for its melodious song, which it uses to communicate with its mate and defend its territory. It is a monogamous species, with pairs often seen foraging together. Despite facing habitat loss and fragmentation, the Green-backed Becard is still relatively common and is not currently considered at risk of extinction.
