Eremomela usticollis
The Green-backed Eremomela is a small, insectivorous bird found in the woodlands and savannas of eastern and southern Africa. It has a distinctive olive-green back, yellow underparts, and a black mask around its eyes. This species is known for its melodious song and active foraging behavior, often seen flitting between branches in search of prey. Green-backed Eremomelas build cup-shaped nests in thorny bushes and lay 2-3 eggs per clutch. They are generally non-migratory and form monogamous pairs during the breeding season.
