Green-backed Tit

Parus monticolus

The Green-backed Tit, also known as the Parus monticolus, is a small passerine bird found in the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its greenish-yellow back, black head, and white underparts. This species is known for its acrobatic foraging behavior, often seen hanging upside down from branches while searching for insects. The Green-backed Tit is commonly found in mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, as well as in gardens and wooded areas. It is an adaptable and sociable bird, often seen in small flocks. The conservation status of the Green-backed Tit is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
